Ferrambo Up For Sale on eBay For More Than $500,000!

The Ferrambo, is up for sale on GP Imports for an undisclosed price. For those of you wondering what kind of money would get you behind the wheel of this custom made model that combines the body of a 1960 Nash Rambler Wagon with a Ferrari 360 V8 powertrain, we can now inform you that you’ll need more than $500,000 or €352,000 to sit your buttocks on its leather seats.

How do we know? Well, GP Imports has enlisted the Ferrambo on eBay and the first bid, $500,000, hasn’t met reserve. In eBay terminology, a reserve price is the minimum price a seller is willing to accept for the item. There’s still six days left before the deadline on September 21, so we’ll keep a close eye on the bidding to see if the there’s someone out there willing to offer more than half a million dollars to obtain this one-off vehicle. Until then, leave us a comment telling us how much money do you think the Ferrambo is worth.

H&R Dodge Challenger: Suspension for a thoroughbred

The new Dodge Challenger has the looks and power to capture the enthusiasm of any seasoned sports-car driver. To drive this impression home, H&R now introduces the matching suspension components. The result does not only look good; you will also feel the difference in handling of the V8. The 35 mm spring kit makes a noticeable improvement to the Challenger's behaviour in curves - virtually without any loss in ride quality. The 50 mm version may be more interesting for those who prefer a more extravagant look.

H&R's adjustable suspension can be set to increase steering accuracy while minimising pitching and rolling, giving the car a noticeable improvement in road performance; the adjustment options allow you to set the wheel loads according to the circumstances.

Naturally, all of the suspension components developed for the Dodge Challenger can be combined with optional H&R sport stabilizers/ anti roll bars. Ultra-sturdy aluminium alloy H&R TRAK+ spacers in 50 and 60 mm widening per axle also add character on either standard or custom tyres, in putting an end to the unsightly visual appearance left by the gap between the edge of the tyre and wheel arch.

The whole H&R programme is available for more than 1,200 vehicle types and is available at good specialist dealers; apart from the high quality we have come to know from the brand that H&R products always come with general permission for road use (ABE) or a TÜV part certificate for German residents. In Germany the Dodge Challenger suspension components are only available at a special distribution partner.

2009 Hyundai Genesis Sedan

If it doesn't impress you that Hyundai is about to bring its first rear-drive sedan to the U.S., starting under $30,000 and rising to $36,000 to $40,000-plus with the optional all-aluminum V-8, think of General Motors and Ford. Think of what GM is going through to bring sub-Cadillac rear-drive sedans back to the market. Of how Ford Motor Company doesn't have the cash to develop one.

2010 Cadillac CTS Coupe at LA Show

Although General Motors added the word ‘concept’ to the end of the CTS Coupe’s nameplate at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show, there was no question that the stylish two-door was headed to production. We’ve since learned that the CTS Coupe will begin rolling down the production line of May of next year, and we now have an official launch date for the two-door Caddy — November’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

Codenamed GMX226, the stylish couple will debut at the LA show — according to Edmunds – and will be built alongside the CTS sedan at the Lansing Grand River Plant. Production will start in May of 2009. The coupe will feature a backup camera which is not currently found on the sedan, and won’t have traditional door handles, but rather a touch-pad setup instead.

Thankfully, it appears that the majority of the CTS Coupe concept’s lines have been faithfully duplicated on this production model. Some feared that the concept’s radical fastback design might be watered down, revealing the Coupe’s sedan roots, but our profile view proves these fears as unfounded. It appears that the production version may have a slightly more pronounced rear deck, but if that’s so, it’s not enough to significantly alter the concept’s silhouette.

The CTS Coupe prototype further separates itself from its sedan donor thanks to the elimination of a conventional door handle, adopting instead the concept’s Corvette-style design which hides the door trigger behind the door’s aft cut-line. The concept and production similarities continue with the Coupe’s revised lower side sill, and the distinctively sculpted waistline, which begins at the A-pillar/fender vent, and narrows as it stretches rearward. The camouflage hides whether or not the line terminates into the concept’s razor-sharp point at the C-pillar, but it looks likely that that’s another design convergence between the show- and production cars. Earlier photos also confirmed that the concept’s bold central exhaust will also reach showrooms.

There are some visible differences between the Detroit Show Standout and the production model. Cost and feasibility studies have killed the concept’s glass-to-glass side windows, in favor of a visible B-pillar on the production model. The rest of the changes are found in front of the A-pillar. The concept coupe’s large, CTS-V-style hood bulge is gone on this prototype (although we’d love to see it return on the “V” coupe). And the show car’s reshaped front fenders — which sweep more voluptuously to a revised front bumper, tweaked front ground-effects, and more dynamic headlight and fog-light clusters — appear to have been replaced with stock items from the CTS sedan. It looks to us like the CTS Coupe and sedan will share identical front fenders and front fascia designs. From there back, however, the cars could scarcely be more different. The drama of the CTS Coupe concept is alive and well, and on its way to Cadillac showrooms.

Although the CTS Coupe will bow at November’s show, it remains unclear when GM will take the wraps off the CTS-V Coupe.

Chevrolet's team in Europe is planning to double on model range and production in Europe. Speaking with UK’s Autocar Magazine, Chevrolet Europe’s Chief Executive Wayne Brannon said that the whole portfolio will be renewed by 2012 and that the company is particularly interested in creating an Opel Zafira-sized MPV along with a small SUV that would sit right under the larger Captiva SUV.

Some of the model's that will be added is the new Chevrolet Camaro coupe and convertible versions to improve Chevy's image and bring more customers to dealerships, along with the plug-in hybrid Volt.

2009 Cadillac CTS-V

GM has made it a habit lately of announcing moderate preliminary figures when it comes to its high-end sports cars. Just like the Corvette ZR1 was SAE-certified at 638 Hp instead of the preliminary 620Hp announced at its debut in Detroit, the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 LSA engine officially delivers 556 Hp at 6100 rpm and 551 lb.-ft. (747 Nm) of torque at 3800 rpm (preliminary figure: 550Hp).

The 2009 CTS-V accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 sec while it covers the quarter-mile in 12 sec at 118 mph. According to Cadillac, these official acceleration times are believed to be the fastest for any V8-powered sedan currently in production. Talking about fast times, in testing May 8 at Germany's famed Nürburgring track, the new 2009 CTS-V completed a lap in 7:59.32, which is considered to be the fastest ever publicly documented for a production sedan on factory-spec street tires.

Relentless Show Stopping FX35

When the Infiniti FX35 first made it's debut in 2003, it made quite an entrance. It was the fastest SUV in production. Like most Nissan's it inherits many of it's family generics from the 350z and G35. Which made it useless off road, whimpering SUV? Nope not really the FX35 is something else on the black top.

Viet Nguyen our boy from California, decided to make his FX35 a better than before SUV that packed a punch into the hot import nights. First of all he would put on some aftermarket rims, and later on the FX35 was supercharged by JWT. He went down to California to test his project at the local drag races. He landed 13.3 at 103 mph for the quarter mile. Many people would be satisfied with these results but no Viet, he went for more.

The first things to go were the S2 cams from JWT and in went C2 cams instead. The turbos were swapped out next, as a pair of GT28 turbos would be more capable of handling higher boost pressure. The new cams were working the valves with JWT springs and the valves themselves had just received a three-angle job. The rest of the head was ported and polished. The exhaust is routed through JWT 700BB manifolds into 2.5-inch test pipes from APS and exits through a GReddy Evo TT 70mm system. The engine internals were reinforced with forged Pauter rods and Arias pistons and rings. Fuel was brought from the stock tank with a Walbro 255lph pump and sent to Nismo 555cc/min injectors. HKS handled the ignition with their Twin Power DLI-II system. In the meantime, the internals of the auto transmission were upgraded to a Level 10 kit, the torque converter was swapped for one from Edge Racing and ATS Carbonetics handled the differential. Finally, a Rotora brake kit helps bring the vehicle to a stop, thanks in part to massive 15-inch front discs and 14-inch rears.

The car was now putting down over 500 hp to the wheels. It made a significant difference at the strip as well, with his best run now being a 12.7 at 110 mph-seriously fast for a vehicle like this.

With all this power you think he would keep this car in the garage right? Nope Viet uses this car as a daily commuter and drives up to 100 miles a day. This car is definitely a show stopper, head turner, rice eater for sure.

2008 Maserati Gran Turismo

I have never really noticed Maserati until now. The new Gran Turismo is something to look at, it is not noticeable, but when it's noticed it is noticed by the people who know the car and know what it's worth. The Maserati has a 405 hp V8 engine, like most exotics it is a rear wheel drive, that gives very well handles which the Maserati is know for, but the most wonderful thing about is it has enough seats for four adults.

2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

The Cayenne Turbo has always been on my good side. It is one of the SUV's that I like best, it comes second on my list after the BMW X5. The 2008 Cayenne has a new design, with a larger but more efficient engine. It feels better and more expensive than the X5, but less sporty. It has a twin-turbocharged 4.8 liter engine that produces 500 horsepower and 516 torque. And goes from a standing start to 60 miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds. Top speed on the test track has been recorded at 171 mph.

2008 Ford Shelby GT500KR

The Shelby GT500KR doesn't look much different than, the Ford Mustang, so I don't know why they gave it a different name. The GT500KR is crowned the King of the Roads of 2008, and celebrates it's 40th anniversary. The GT500KR V8 Supercharged engine produces 510 torque and 540 horsepower. 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63

The new Mercedes -Benz SL63 replaces our favorite roadster the SL55, now without a supercharger we have a 6.2 liter V8, that produces 518 horsepower and 738 torque. The styling has gone in a good direction although the rear still looks the same. The exterior now has more deep vents, a wider grill and an AMG body kit. One of the best features is that you can have a convertible from a coupe in 16 seconds, meaning your hard top can come down with a touch of a button. At the heart of the new AMG Speedshift MCT seven-speed sports transmission is a new start-up clutch, which runs in an oil bath and replaces a conventional torque converter. Fit with four modes " C" for comfort, "S" for sport, "S+" for Sport Plus and "M" for manual. Again Mercedes-Benz provides us with super car, with the features of an S class.

2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The new Corvette ZR1, has a supercharged V8 with 620 horsepower and 595 torque, it is extra light with a new carbon fiber roof top and is the first Corvette to reach 200 mph. It is exceptionally better than the Porsche 911 GT2, the Ferrari 599 and even the Lamborghini LP640. It is built on a small block V8 which we all love, and handles superbly, has the same chassis as a Z06, but with different suspension giving it better handling. Has widened carbon fiber fenders for the all famous wide tires of the corvette with profile of 335/25 in the back and 285/30 in the front.

Lexus has built a rival that competes with the new BMW m3. The Lexus is also fitted with a V8 just like the m3, produces 400 horsepower from a 5.1 liter engine. It is the world's first eight speed direct sport-shift transmission. The Lexus IS-F produces what it promises, 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with smoothness provided by the eight speed transmission. The styling is Japanese but with the luxuries of a Lexus.
